Understanding ADHD
This session explores ADHD as a neurodevelopmental difference and why it is frequently misunderstood. It examines attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, and executive functioning, alongside strengths, challenges, and everyday impacts.
This training is aimed to give a broad overview of ADHD applied across multiple sectors.
By completing this CPD session, participants will demonstrate that they can:
Describe ADHD using a neurodiverse affirming framework.
Recognise the subtypes of ADHD and the key areas of differences seen.
Understand common difficulties across multiple life domains: school, college, university, personal life, and health and social care.
Learn to adapt strategies to different sectors and life domains.
Learn from lived experience to apply a strengths-based approach.

This training provides up to 2 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is suitable for professionals working in education, health, care, and corporate settings.
